Dr. Minaketan also announced the first two recipients of this sports scholarship fund. Kuldeep Hembran (Age – 8 Years), a resident of Salia Sahi slums, has been offered a 100% scholarship at ODM Global School in Class III. The young talent has also been selected by a professional I-league club – Punjab FC. The second receiver of the sports scholarship is Prithviraj Dash (Age – 16 Years), who is currently part of the India U-16/U-17 Football Youth Camp continuing at Kalinga Stadium. Prithviraj has been offered a 100% scholarship at ODM Public School in Class XII.
Addressing a gathering of sportspersons and media members on the same occasion, Mr. Swoyan Satyendu, COO, ODM Educational Group, stated that “Over the years, ODM has constantly been contributing to the needs of deserving students through various initiatives and programmes. With ODM Sports Scholarship Fund, we aim to provide foundational support to young sportspersons present around the state and recognise their achievements at state, national, and international levels. Along with the financial support, the scholarship will also focus on encouraging the talents by proper mentorship as and when required.”
